Year 6 Trebuchets
On Tuesday, Year 6 spent the day developing their design technology skills. We discussed the creative process involved in designing, crafting, testing, evaluating and developing a product for a specification and compared the similarities and differences to the process to create an artwork. The children used their learning behaviours to listen well to instructions, work together as teams and persevere to create a working trebuchet (a Norman siege weapon which was used to throw boulders, venomous snakes and even rotting animals at their enemies). The Year 6s tested their trebuchets to see whose was the most efficient at launching their ammunition. Congratulations to Harry Few, Liam Manley and Kanye Adekomi for building the winning trebuchet.
