Apprentice of the Year Award for Charlene Passmore

And the winner is...
Charlene Passmore of St James Church School, Taunton! Today, we were able to surprise Charlene during the school celebration assembly and present her with the Apprentice of the Year trophy, certificate and hamper.
Charlene began her profession whilst working as a parent volunteer at the school. She went on to secure work as a midday supervisor and also enrolled on the Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (STLS) Level 2, successfully achieving her Certificate.
St James Church School were so impressed with Charlene that they encouraged her to enroll on the Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3.
Alongside her apprenticeship, Charlene also successfully gained her Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and ICT.
Whilst her journey has been challenging at times, Charlene has consistently demonstrated a determined approach towards her learning. She is a positive and enthusiastic person who was a pleasure to teach and support.
Charlene is now a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant at St James Church School in Taunton. where she is a valued member of staff.
Her story is truly inspirational and shows what can be done with determination and commitment. Charlene is a well-deserved winner, chosen from all the Apprentice of the Month winners 2019.
