The proposed alterations include:

  • A new unified admission arrangement which includes all Bath and Wells Multi Academy Trust schools located within the Somerset local authority area in one document.
  • Revised wording and layout to the admission arrangements in the interests of simplifying information and providing additional clarity.
  • Specific changes to the oversubscription criteria for St James Church School:
  • Criterion 2 – We have removed the need for sibling to still be on roll at the time the child starts school.
  • Criterion 3 – We have completely reworded this section to cover ‘children of school staff’ to standardise this wording across all schools.

What happens next?

Following closure of the consultation, the Admission Authority will meet to consider any comments returned during the consultation period. Within four calendar weeks of the consultation ending, a response will be published on the School website and consultees will be informed of this.
